What is Otta?
Otta is a free iPhone app for planning trips with your friends from what you already save. Send it Instagram reels and posts, TikToks, or a friend's tips, and it saves every place. Add your bookings, then plan the trip together in one shared place.
Getting Started
1. Sign in
Download the app and sign in with Google or Apple. Your account works across the app and any messaging channel you connect.
2. Create a trip
Tell Otta to create a trip — give it a name, destination, and dates. You can do this in the app or by messaging Otta on WhatsApp or iMessage.
3. Add your bookings
Forward booking confirmation emails to your personal Otta email (visible in the app), share a booking link, send a screenshot, or upload a PDF. Otta extracts the details automatically — flights, hotels, activities, transfers, and more.
4. Invite your group
Share your trip link with friends. They can join from the app or the web — everyone sees the same plan.
Adding Bookings
Otta supports multiple ways to add bookings to your trip:
- Forward an email — Send booking confirmations to your personal Otta email (visible in the app). Otta reads the email and extracts everything.
- Share a link — Paste a booking URL from Airbnb, Booking.com, airline sites, etc. Otta fetches and parses the page.
- Send a screenshot — Take a photo of a confirmation and send it via WhatsApp or the app. Otta reads the image.
- Upload a PDF — Share a PDF confirmation or e-ticket directly in chat.
- Just tell it — Type the details and ask Otta to add a booking manually.
Messaging Channels
Otta works across multiple channels. Your conversations and trip data stay in sync no matter where you message from.
- WhatsApp — Message Otta directly or add it to a group chat with your travel crew.
- iMessage — Text Otta like any other contact.
- In-app chat — Chat with Otta right inside the app, with support for voice messages and file uploads.
Managing Your Trip
- Edit bookings — Ask Otta to update details, or edit directly in the app.
- Remove items — Tell Otta to remove a booking, or swipe to delete in the app.
- Search flights — Ask Otta to search for flights between cities and dates.
Account & Privacy
- Delete your account — Go to Profile in the app and tap Delete Account. There is a 30-day grace period to restore it.

How do I save places from Instagram?
Connect your Instagram in the app (Profile, then Connections), then send any reel or post to @otta.travel in a DM. Otta saves every place it mentions. You can also share Instagram or TikTok links to Otta with the iPhone share button.
How do I add bookings to a trip?

Can my friends see the trip?

Yes, Otta is free on the App Store. It's iPhone only for now; there is no Android app.
Does Otta book trips?
No. Otta doesn't sell travel. It keeps everything you booked elsewhere in one place, shared with your group.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile in the app and tap Delete Account. There is a 30-day grace period to restore it.
